"It's worth the money. Best quality and best price with a friendly atmosphere"

The localization is very good (you can walk everywhere) and the owners are very nice and friendly and the room is perfect size and very clean with the most comfortable matress and pillows I have ever tried.

"Great Guest House - Will Visit Again!"

I stayed at the Grosvenor Place Guest House at the weekend. It has recently been taken over by new owners and they have completely refurbished it to a very high standard. My stylishly decorated room was very large with a king size bed, plasma tv, tea and coffee making facilities ample storage and shower and toilet. The guesthouse is in a great location - right in the centre of town. I will certainly stay there again on my next visit to this great town and I would recommend it unreservedly to anyone. It's more like a small, smart hotel than a guest house.

"Perfect weekend stay"
The two of us stayed here at the end of January. This was our first trip to chester. The guest house really is in the best location, just seconds away from the start of the town and the brilliant city walls.

The owner was fantastic, very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed including knowledge of the local area and places to visit.

Parking was a big concern to us, but it didn't need to be because the landlord gave us all the advice we needed and we ended up parking the entire weekend for free! The hotel is exactly what it is marketed as, not a boutique hotel but a perfectly sized guest house.

A lovely hotel in a lovely city. Would 100% recommend and can't wait to return to stay again! Would suggest booking in advance as gets very busy!

"Really recommend staying here, a real gem of a find"

I was really pleasantly surprised with this guest house. It has recently re-opened under new ownership. It is really clean (very important to me) and well maintained (even though it has been recently refurbished it is a looked after property. The linen in the room was crisp and fresh and facilities good. The location is so central (close to many interesting restuarants (Brazilian) and bars) yet it is a quaint townhouse in a nice little road off a main route.

Best of all are the owners, Stephane (multi-lingual, speaks Portuguese, French, Spanish as well as English to name a few) and Adelaide (Irish) who are both so friendly and well travelled. Stephane could not do enough to help us find places to eat out and recommended some lovely restaurants and had loads of ideas for things to do.

Because the guest house is in a townhouse, staying there is like being part of a family, or overnighting at a friend's. It was a busy weekend (Chester races) but this partnership worked fantasitcally well with local cafés offering the perfect breakfast. We will definitely be returning to Grosvenor Place Guest House.

"Good value and location"

I arrived in the afternoon when I was shown my compact but clean and cosy (single) room with an ensuite, tv, tea & coffee facilities. The welcome was warm and I felt comfortable in the room.

"Location, Location, Location!"

This B&B couldn't be in a better location - its a 5 minute or less walk to all the major points of interest. I had a great stay here for a few days and was very well looked after by the owners. They have done a really good job of redecorating the place - everything is fresh and new! The beds are extremely comfortable and I loved the flat screen LED tvs! The fresh coffee was a great way for me to start my day! I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chester.

“Very comfortable and relaxing stay.”

This guest house has been recently refurbished and has new owners. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious (I highly recommend the full English breakfast) and the coffee was great. The Grosvenor Place Guest House is an easy walk from the train station, and close to Chester's various sights and amenities, with plenty of good places to eat nearby. The proprietors were friendly and helpful. We had a very comfortable stay and were a little sad to leave! We would certainly stay there again.

"A friendly welcome in a great location"

A really friendly welcome, great comfy bed and lovely shower. The rooms have been redecorated recently and are exceptionally clean and comfortable (beds particularly comfortable). Great location in central Chester and great value for money.

We (me, my wife, sister and boyfriend) spent just one night in the hotel because we went to the wedding of my cousin. The hotel is very clean, they have a flatscreen TV and the bed is very comfortable. The perfect hotel for spending a couple of days in Chester. Very friendly staffs
